We leave together from Sydney, late afternoon on the 12th August, (so we can organise flights for you to meet us in Sydney from anywhere in Australia, with luggage checked right through!) We return early morning on the 22nd, making it easy for you to continue on and arrive home on the sam
e day. We will all stay at the very comfortable, welcoming and central, Tanoa Dateline Hotel. (For those who came to Samoa, it’s part of the same hotel group...only even nicer!) Jason, the Manager who looked after us all so well in Samoa, is now based here. He is thrilled to think we’ll be bringing our lovely clients to see him again and promises we'll all be looked after in fine style!

Tanoa Dateline Resort is directly opposite the sea, where you can swim or, if you’re lucky, watch playful whales
go by. It’s an easy
stroll into town from the resort and you
can even walk to the Royal Palace for a peep in from the
We will present some enjoyable and varied concerts in a lovely venue at our Resort. Among those performing for you are your hosts, soprano Jennifer Parish and baritone Stewart Cameron, mezzo-soprano Deborah Rogers, tenor Nick Kirkup, pianist Lynne Sterling Jordan, the Auckland City String Quartet and the dynamic 'Italian Boys' - Rosario Maio and Jimmy Zappia.

You will also be able to hear some local performers during your time in Tonga. We’ll arrange local tours to see points of interesting and around the capital of Tonga, Nuku’alofa, where we are staying. Visits will include the Tongan National Culture Centre and Tongan National Museum, various impressive churches, as well as local art and craft shops/galleries and of course, the colourful daily market!

We’ll attend a Cultural Performance night, complete with a banquet of Traditional Tongan foods and take an excursion out to the point of the peninsular to enjoy lunch together at another beautiful resort, right on the beach.

Even with all we have organised, we will allow you plenty of time to just relax at our resort, to enjoy the large swimming pool, the lovely places to relax and enjoy a drink or a meal or lie down with a good book and take the occasional glance at the sea from your window!
We are visiting the Kingdom of Tonga at the perfect time of year, when the weather is settled, humidity low and the average daytime temperature is a very comfortable 26C . If you love music, the company of like-minded people, enjoy learning about new cultures and sharing convivial meals and activities with fellow travellers, you had better secure your place! Plane seats are limited!

We’d love to have you join us.
