DAYTIME CONCERT SERIES - Details
For many years, OPERATIF! has presented a marvellous series of daytime concerts, offering the best in entertainment at a low cost and during daylight hours (Weekdays or Weekends).
The popular personalities of soprano Jennifer Parish and baritone Stewart Cameron have ensured that this series has expanded over the years and performances can now be enjoyed in venues from the Irish Club, Brisbane to Gympie Civic Centre with Bribie Island, the Sunshine Coast and most recently Esk in the Brisbane Valley, all able to enjoy these superb performances.
Each concert includes a different selection of popular opera and song with titles in 2011 including ‘Because you're Mine ’, ‘I'm in Love with Vienna ’ and ‘Rose of England !’
Associate artists in 2011 include pianists John Woods and Lynne Jordan, bass David Hibbard, tenor Benjamin Makisi , tenor Virgilio Marino, mezzo Hayley Sugars and soprano Sally Harrison along with a couple of 'Young Artists'

BOOK IN ADVANCE
Although tickets will often be available on the day, those who pre-book enjoy the best seats. In Brisbane, seating is allocated by row. In Redcliffe tickets are sold with reserved seating. In other venues outside Brisbane, patrons are admitted in turn, according to ticket number…lowest to highest. There is no fee for pre-booking and tickets are mailed to you. ( The only exception to this is Redcliffe where a small booking fee is charged )
PRICING FOR WEEKDAY DAYTIME CONCERTS
Tickets - $28:
From 1st February, we will ask that tickets be paid for and collected at the door on the day of the concert you are attending. If you wish to be sure of tickets, it’s fine to leave your name, phone no and the number of tickets required on our voicemail. We’ll put tickets in an envelope for you to collect on the day. (correct money would be greatly appreciated please.)
Alternatively you can simply phone OPERATIF! a couple of weeks out from the concert and our message will tell you if we’ve sold out!
-Online bookings: These will be possible at any time but tickets will be held at the door for you.
Group bookings - $22:
Tickets for groups will work just the same as currently ie tickets can be held to allow time to finalise numbers and money. Once payment is made, tickets will of course be mailed, as we understand there is often a need to distribute them prior to the concert day. We will also allocate one complimentary ticket to the group organizer.
Being relieved of the weekly (sometimes daily) task of balancing credit card receipts, recording, selecting and mailing tickets and entering so much into the computers will be wonderful!! We can then just do one settlement and update of records at the end of each concert and spend the time we save being creative and singing...as we should!
TICKET EXCHANGES
OPERATIF! Daytime Concert tickets can be exchanged for another performance should something unforeseen arise. We do require one week's notice however and your ticket/s returned to us along with a $5 exchange fee per booking (ie just $5 whether you had 1 or more tickets). Your replacement tickets for the alternative concert will be held at the door for you
BRISBANE CONCERTS
The majestic venue of the Tara Ballroom, Queensland Irish Club is the home of the Daytime Weekday Series concerts. Sundays concerts will be held in 2011 at St Andrew's Church, Ann Street.

OPERATIF! is proud to have expanded over the years to present their popular concerts in communities beyond Brisbane.
