This is a series of marvellous, low-cost concerts, presented in a convenient daytime slot on both weekdays and Sundays.

Soprano Jennifer Parish and baritone Stewart Cameron join with a variety of guest artists in presenting these popular concerts
of the music of yesteryear. Associate artists include brilliant pianists Lynne Jordan and Janet Brewer, mezzo Dorothy Williams, bass David Hibbard, soprano D'Arne Sleeman, soprano Sally Harrison, violinists Julie-Anne and Cara O'Reilly & other fine singers and musicians.

FRIENDS OF OPERATIF
We are very excited to announce that we are establishing a "Friends of Operatif!" Many over the years have expressed a desire to assist us with the growing costs and challenges our little company faces each . CDs will also be at 20% discount for "Friends" (ie $20) year.

Joining the Friends will give us much-valued support and in turn, will afford you ticket and CD discounts and special newsletters and/or invitations throughout the year. Friends will enjoy their personal tickets at a 20% discount (or $20 each) whether they are booked all at once or concert by concert. This applies to all venues .

All 'Friends' will be issued with a lovely badge to proudly wear to concerts and out and about, as ambassadors of Operatif! We hope to gather many friends in 2008 and all it takes to join is a minimum $20 donation per individual 'Friend' per annum. (If you'd like to donate a little more, that would be great).

A BUMPER YEAR IN 2008
All of our daytime concerts will be displayed on the one brochure for next year, as it seems many of you get about from place to place or like to tell friends in other locations about us.

We have reduced the number of Brisbane concerts to seven in 2008. We've made the decision because, with our venues and activities expanding, we wanted to put lots of energies into each concert and make it even more memorable and then performing it several times in various venues. We need to start later this year too as the Ithaca Auditorium has been blocked out from mid February until mid March for the Council's election pre-polling …..say no more!!!

We will be retaining allocated seating for Brisbane, as it is clear that our Brisbane patrons love to have their favourite seats each year. All of our Daytime concert tickets will be the same price in 2008, no matter where you attend a concert, so you can mix and match if you wish and come to concerts at other venues too. Just remember that outside Brisbane City Hall, concerts are general admission, although we do admit people by ticket number. This means that the early bookers with low numbers get first pick of seats. The ticket price of these out-of-Brisbane concerts includes either morning tea before or afternoon tea afterwards.

Although we have discarded "subscriptions" as such, if you join the 'Friends' (see above) you will save at least the same, if not more than you did as a subscriber.

TICKET EXCHANGES
As in the past, tickets can be exchanged should something arise and you can no longer attend a booked concert. We require one week's notice and the tickets returned to us along with a $5 exchange fee per booking (ie just $5 whether you had 1 or more tickets). This service is rare in the Arts but it's one we like to offer, as we know medical appointments or holidays are not always easily organised far ahead!
