Jennifer was born in Melbourne and studied at the Victorian College of the Arts before embarking on a professional singing career with Victoria State Opera.

After study in London and Germany, Jennifer returned to Australia, making her home in Brisbane. She has sung with Lyric Opera, Queensland Symphony and Queensland Pops Orchestras, but is best known as founder and director of OPERATIF! the company of singers she founded in 1994.

Jennifer received wide acclaim in the taxing role of Magda Sorrel in Menotti's "The Consul" for Brisbane Festival 1996 and in 1997 as Puccini's tragic heroine Madam Butterfly, in the production devised for the 1997 4MBS Festival and remounted in 1998 for a major season in the Suncorp Theatre, Brisbane.

She remains one of Australia's leading sopranos, and continues to
strive to bring professional opera and song to the people of Queensland without the comfort of Government funding. OPERATIF! continues to
be the only regular avenue for professional opera singers to perform
outside of major funded companies.
