FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

:: Do I need a Passport? Yes, however, if you are an Australian citizen, then a Certificate of Identity will
suffice. The forms to complete are available from Australia Post and there is no charge.

:: Does Norfolk Island use Australian dollars? Yes. Many shops are tax free too!

:: Do I need formal attire for the concerts? No. There is no need to go for 'Black Tie' but collar and tie with a jacket for the men...and after 5 wear for the ladies is appropriate for the evening performances. Smart casual wear will suffice for the daytime concerts.

:: What is the weather like in February? It's generally a perfect time to visit Norfolk Island. Days are usually sunny and mid to high 20s but it is always advisable to have a jacket handy at night. Being an island, there are often breezes and weather can change very quickly at times.

:: Do I need Travel Insurance? Yes, this is absolutely essential when travelling to Norfolk Island. Should you require emergency medical care, costs are extremely high, especially if evacuation to the mainland was necessary. Also, fog can sometimes delay departures for a day or two. Should this occur, your travel Insurance, means you can simply enjoy an extended holiday...rather than extra cost.

:: Can I take food items to Norfolk Island? Yes, as long they are in an unopened pack. If you have special diet foods or simply a favourite biscuit, snack, tea or similar, it is fine to pack these in your check through luggage. There is of course a supermarket on Norfolk Island but it won't carry the huge range of products you are possibly accustomed to. Obviously quarantine regulations restrict fresh fruits or plants!
