About Stewart.

Stewart Cameron was born in Auckland, New Zealand where he gained a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Auckland University, majoring in Italian Literature and Language . Two years after graduating, at the age of 22, he won his country's biggest opera competition, the N.Z. Herald Aria, performing two Verdi baritone arias. He then moved to Sydney to take up a place at The Opera School at the N.S.W. Conservatorium of Music, where he studied under the direction of Myer Fredman.

Since making Brisbane his home, Stewart has performed with Wellington City Opera (NZ) as Papageno in The Magic Flute, as well as performing as a soloist with Q.S.O., Q.P.O., OPERATIF!, Qld Pops and Lyric Opera of Qld ( now Opera Queensland ). Stewart performed the role of John Sorrel to critical acclaim in Brisbane City Opera's highly successful production of The Consul for the 1996 Brisbane Festival . In late 1997 he took the part of the consul, Sharpless, in Madama Butterfly for the 4MBS Coorparoo Festival of Fine Music , a role he reprised when the production was given a mainstream season in Brisbane's Suncorp Theatre in 1998.

For the last few years, Stewart has concentrated his energies on performing with OPERATIF! , Queensland's proudly independent company of singers, enjoying the wonderful opportunities to regularly perform a diverse range of repertoire, from Broadway musicals to Lieder, French art song, 20th Century opera ,and everything in-between.....

Voice Production :
Improve your public speaking.

Have you ever wondered why successful actors and speakers have such mellow speaking voices, and, in most cases, can also sing ? It is because the principles
of singing and voice production for speaking are the same.

In voice production classes you will:-
* learn how to breath correctly, ensuring a steady and commanding delivery.
* develop a more mellow tone and textures. ( light and shade in the voice )
* learn to project your voice in a non-amplified environment.
* learn how to control your nerves and not let them affect your delivery
* learn to communicate more effectively
* develop your self esteem as you learn you can get your message across.

Classes are given on either as one-to-one weekly classes or as part of group workshops in the workplace.
